The Dorothy Spotswood Charity Hospital is being established to provide free day surgery and specialist care for people in the Wellington region who cannot access public treatment and cannot afford private care.

As Establishment Chief Executive, Vito is helping turn that ambition into a functioning organisation. His work brings together the Board, clinicians, benefactors, suppliers, construction partners and community supporters, while developing the structure and relationships needed for opening and sustainable operations.

Major Events Strategy & Crown Investment

Role: Group Manager – Major Events

Led cross-government strategy alignment between Crown entities and Ministries across domestic and international economic development areas. Established New Zealand's first dedicated Major Events Unit, created investment assessment frameworks, managed a substantial Crown fund, and built high-performing teams that positioned New Zealand to leverage global events including the Rugby and Cricket World Cups.

Role: Group Manager

Following the merger of Trade NZ and Industry NZ, led effective change management and seamless amalgamation of events teams. Created and implemented transparent Crown fund investment policies and procedures, developed the 'Showcasing Smart New Zealand' brand, and directed international business development showcases.
